Atas kesulitan "budget", lencana JOTA untuk tahun ini tidak akan dapat dibuat seperti yang dirancangkan pada awal tahun. Size lencana juga akan menjadi lebih kecil berbandingan tahun lepas. Walau bagaimanapun, buat tahun ini, semua petugas dan operator radio akan mendapat lencana staff yang berlainan warna.

Due to budgeting issue, our official JOTA badge will not be the same as what we earlier on planned. Therefore, a new design is adopted and the size of the badge will decrease dramatically compare to last year. However, good new will go to all the staffs and radio operator becuase they will each obtain an additional badge come with different colour variation.

Sebanyak 5 stesen JOTA di seluruh Malaysia akan menggunakan Lencana Cabaran JOTA yang same hanya berubah tentang warna liputan sisi. 5 stesen JOTA ini adalah 2 stesen dari Negeri Johor, 2 stesen dari Negeri Pulau Pinang and 1 dari Sabah.

5 JOTA stations nation wise has adopted the common design for 51st JOTA challenge Badge. However, each individual station will be differentiate with different border colours. The 5 station are two from Johor, 2 from Penang and one from Sabah.

Kami berharap-harapkan supaya sebanyak mungkin Stasen-Stasen JOTA/JOTI seluruh Malaysia dapat menggunakan lencana ini secara selaras. M

engikut pengalaman yang diperolehi, lencana Cabaran hanya akan diberikan kepada calon pengakap yang berjaya membuat jumlah perhubungan yang telah ditetapkan.

Bagi mana-mana pihak yang ingin mengikuti cadangan ini sila meninggalkan name dan no. telephone di ruang "comment" supaya kami dapat menghubungi saudara dengan lebih senang lagi.

Harga anggapan untuk lencana cabaran ini adalah di dalam RM3.00 bagi ukuran lencana yang bersaiz 3" (inci) dan bersulam 100%. Jumlah tempahan bagi setiap stesen adalah tidak kurang dari 30 keping.

Lepas berfikir berkali-kali, saya berasa agak sesuai jikalau lambang hari merdeka juga dijadikan sebahagian daripada logo lencana cabaran Jota-Joti. Ianya bukan sahaja dapat kami ingatkan peristiwa ini di masa depan, ia juga melangsungkan tradisi Lencana Cabaran pertama, iaitu lencana Cabaran untuk 50th JOTA yang dikeluarkan pada 2007.

After much consideration, I decide to make a design change so that the badge will also capture the 51st Independence Day logo as part of the design. This will not only help us to remember this very special day but to inheritage the design intact of the 1st challenge badge issued in year 2007.

Look for eighteen never-heard-before radio scouting special callsigns to be on air.

In conjunction with the centennial celebration of scouting in
Malaysia and the World Telecommunication & Information Society Day 2008, the Scouts Association of Malaysia have been granted eighteen special event callsigns, 9M1CSx, to stations nationwide.

The callsigns are valid until December 31st, 2008, and will be used for the following on air jamborees in 2008:
Asia Pacific JOTA:
0000z, August 2nd until 2359z, August 3rd
World JOTA:
1800z, October 18th until 2359z, October 19th

The national society, Malaysian Amateur Radio Transmitters' Society (MARTS), will provide QSL Bureau service to all of the following 9M1CSx stations. Details are available on: http://jota.scouts.my
